How to Create and Publish a Journal Club Post

Purpose

This guide explains the standard procedure for documenting Journal Club presentations on the BDSL Home page.

1. Create a New Post

• Log in to the BDSL website and select New → Post.
• Use a clear title for the Journal Club presentation and include the following information:
• Paper title
• Presenter
• Presentation date
• Brief description of the paper

2. Add the Presentation File

Upload the presentation PDF to the Media Library and attach or link the file to the post.

3. Set Access Permissions

To prevent the presentation materials from being publicly distributed, restrict PDF access to: Administrator, Alumni, Lab member, and Undergraduate Internship

4. Select the Journal Club Category

Assign the post to: – BDSL / Journal Club

This keeps all Journal Club presentations organized in the same section of the BDSL website.

5. Review and Publish

Before publishing, check that the paper information, presentation file, access permissions, and category are correct.

Click Publish to make the Journal Club post available on the BDSL Home page.
